劉大為

劉大為,1945年生,祖籍山東諸城。1968年畢業于內蒙古師范大學美術系。1980年畢業于中央美術學院中國畫系研究生班。現任解放軍藝術學院美術系教授、主任,中國文聯副主席、中國美術家協會主席、教科文組織下屬國際造型藝術家協會主席、全國政協委員。中國文學藝術界聯合會第十屆榮譽委員。
主要作品《布里亞特婚禮》、《雛鷹》、《幼獅》、《張華壯曲譜新篇》、《小米加步槍》、《漠上》、《陽光下》、《馬背上的民族》、《晚風》、《輝煌之路》、《帕米爾高原的婚禮》、《草原上的歌》、《巴扎歸來》、《人民公仆》、《雪線》、《遠山》、《雪域生靈》等。 出版有《寫意人物畫技法》、《劉大為速寫》、《劉大為作品集》、《劉大為小品集》、《劉大為水彩畫作品》、《史詩與牧歌——劉大為作品集》等。其作品多次參加國內重大展覽并獲獎,在日本、英國、美國、德國、法國及香港、臺灣等國家和地區展出。

人物經歷

1945年 10月出生于山東濰坊,祖籍山東諸城;
1951年 隨父母、祖父母全家移居內蒙古包頭。自幼喜歡繪畫,隨祖父習書法;
1956年 上小學時受到美術老師韓維祥的啟蒙、關注培養,11歲時創作第一張大幅水彩畫《五一群眾大游行》;
1958年 中學讀書期間,參加課余美術組,在美術老師蘭尚廉指導下,接受了系統的素描、速寫和水彩畫基本功訓練;14歲時正值大躍進時期,繪制了多幅巨幅宣傳畫、壁畫;
1963年 9月考入內蒙古師范學院美術系(現內蒙師范大學美術學院);
    1967年 文化大革命中,到內蒙古紅衛兵展覽辦公室工作兩年,擔任美術組長;承擔各種展覽設計和繪畫任務,期間繪制了大量巨幅油畫毛主席像、巨幅宣傳畫及大量歷史畫;多幅宣傳畫在內蒙古各大報紙和雜志發表;
1968年 12月大學畢業,分配到包頭市半導體器件廠當鉗工,“接受工人階級再教育”;每逢外地出差,堅持油畫及水彩畫風景寫生;
1970年 創作中國畫《彩筆繪新圖》,內蒙古人民出版社出版發行明信片;
1971年 創作年畫《鋼鐵是這樣煉成的》,由內蒙古人民出版社出版,并刊登于“包頭文藝”;
1972年 調到包頭市日報社工作,擔任美術編輯、記者;
創作《銀針凝真情》(和馬蓮合作),作為內蒙古自治區唯一入選作品,參加紀念毛澤東延安文藝座談會講話發表30周年全國美術作品展,在中國美術館展出;
1974年 創作《草原頌歌》(和賈方舟合作),作為內蒙古自治區入選的兩幅作品之一,參加全國美術作品展,中國美術館展出;
8月與包頭藝術家一起赴內蒙古烏蘭察布盟賽漢塔拉草原寫生體驗生活;
11月到包頭市五七干校學習6個月;
1975年 創作水粉連環畫《小騎手》,內蒙古人民出版社出版、國家外文出版社出版,該作品1978年參加全國連環畫展,獲二等獎;
創作油畫《邊疆女民兵》,入選全國美術作品展,中國美術館展出;
1976年 5月借調到內蒙古三十周年大慶辦公室工作一年,任美術組長,負責“三十周年成就展”美術創作等;
創作巨幅水粉畫《紅太陽照亮了內蒙古草原》,作為內蒙古入選作品之一,參加“粉碎四人幫全國美展”;
12月陪同浙江美術學院雕塑系沈文強等四位教授赴錫林格勒正藍旗、鑲黃旗寫生;
1977年 5月帶領包頭美術創作學習班學員赴土默特右旗大青山農村寫生;
創作連環畫《龍梅、玉榮》草原英雄小姐妹,內蒙古人民美術出版社出版;
10月赴包頭郊區五當召公社石拐礦區寫生;
1978年 5月赴內蒙古達茂旗百靈廟、察干敖包牧區寫生;
9月考入中央美術學院中國畫系研究生班,親聆葉淺予蔣兆和李苦禪李可染、劉凌倉、吳作人等一代名師教誨;

2013年10月30日晚,在美國紐約國家藝術俱樂部舉行的“水墨·中國夢——當代中國畫精品展”開幕式上,美國合作方中華文化藝術基金會向中國美術家協會主席劉大為頒發了“文化傳承特別獎”,劉大為主席成為該獎項設立以來的首位獲獎者。
2013年11月27日中國美術家協會第八次全國代表大會27日在北京閉幕,大會選舉產生了新一屆理事會和以劉大為為主席的主席團。

作品風格

劉大為兼擅工筆與寫意,以反映北方少數民族生活風情及重大歷史題材著稱于世,其代表作品《馬背上的民族》,是他用傳統工筆重彩手法創作出的佳構,曾在全國大型美展上獲獎。平凡中見偉岸、平和中顯滄桑的功力是劉大為十幾年邊陲生活的展開,也是其對歷史風貌與時代精神的獨特把握。
劉大為在中央美院中國畫系研究生班學習二年,主攻人物畫專業,在蔣兆和葉淺予黃胄盧沉、姚有多諸先生的指導下,刻苦學習,進步很快,在隨后的幾年里,很快地掌握了中國畫的表現規律,無論工筆重彩或水墨寫意諸種不同的技法,他運用得都很嫻熟。這對于他的創作水平迅速地提高,無疑是個很有利的條件。然而,對于像劉大為這樣的中年畫家所以取得今天的成就,與其說是功力的扎實和繪畫語言的嫻熟,毋寧說更重要的是由于他把藝術與生活、藝術與社會的關系擺得很正,對待傳統與創新的關系處理得比較穩健所使然。
劉大為的藝術,不僅繼承和延續人物畫古往今來積極反映生活、追求藝術真善美的優秀傳統,而且在改革開放的新時代作為社會主義美術的主導力量無論在題材的開拓上或是藝術形式技巧的表現上,都有自己獨到的運用。

人物訪談

記者:新疆采風剛一結束,您就馬不停蹄地帶領采風團第二支隊伍奔赴延安,日程安排得極為緊湊,一定十分辛苦。“赴革命紀念地深入生活創作”采風活動的第二站選擇延安有什么樣的考慮?[7]
劉大為:滾滾延河水,巍巍寶塔山,延安的形象早已耳熟能詳,延安是紅色的圣地、革命的搖籃。一說起延安,人們都會感到分外親切,敬意油然而生。6月11日晚上,我們才到達延安,美術家們確實旅途勞頓。但是當大家看到壯麗的延安,一切疲倦一掃而光。采風期間,畫家們始終沉浸在無比激動的情緒之中。中共中央和毛澤東在這里領導、指揮了抗日戰爭和解放戰爭,奠定了中華人民共和國的基石,譜寫了可歌可泣的歷史篇章。也就是在延安,孕育了光照千秋的延安精神,在中國的革命和建設中提供了巨大的精神動力。在我們黨的歷史上,馬列主義同中國實際相結合的第一次歷史性飛躍就是在延安實現的,延安是毛澤東思想從形成、發展到成熟的圣地。
1942年5月,我黨在延安期間于楊家嶺召開文藝座談會,毛主席發表了《在延安文藝座談會上的講話》。《講話》給延安文藝界帶來了嶄新的精神面貌。從此,在馬列主義、毛澤東思想指引下的中國革命文藝不斷出現新的高潮。實踐證明,《講話》精神不僅在戰爭年代、在當代,乃至在將來,都指引著中國文藝發展的方向,是照耀進步文藝家前進的燈塔。美術家們來到延安,重溫《講話》精神,親身感受延安精神,受到了很大的鼓舞,并從中獲得了內在提升的力量;同時也能更為深切地體會到“文學藝術為誰服務”,進而“如何服務”的問題,這必將在他們日后的藝術創作中得以展現。在延安學習、教學、奮斗、創作的一大批藝術家,像蔡若虹、華君武、力群、江豐等許多老先生、老前輩都從這里沿著革命文藝路線,并為新中國文藝事業發展做出了他們畢生的貢獻。他們當年的藝術歷程和創作激情令采風畫家們感佩不已,延安精神仍然是今天藝術發展前進的動力。
記者:此次采風活動規模浩大,在全國引起了很大的反響。除了有對新中國歷史的緬懷和對革命精神的贊頌與訴求之外,在深入生活,提升各類寫生活動質量等方面無疑也具有極大的導向作用。
劉大為:是的。生活是一切藝術創作的源泉。生活是源,而不是流,《講話》鼓勵我們走向生活、走向人民大眾,有了這種感覺和創作激情,作品才能感動人,才能真實地反映社會、反映時代。這次參加采風活動的都是有成就的藝術家,他們的優秀作品在當代都有一定的代表性,在這里,他們又再次深切地感受到了這條真理,那就是,藝術家永遠不要離開火熱的生活,不要脫離時代。實際上這就是我們今天講的“三貼近”,是對《講話》的進一步詮釋。翻開歷史的畫卷,從戰爭年代到新中國成立,再到改革開放,真正能夠在社會上產生影響,受到人們喜愛的,感動人的還是那些有真實生活感受的作品。此次采風必將鼓舞藝術家們回去后把感受融入到創作中去,創作出感人的、有深刻精神力量、有分量的好作品。
我們恰逢盛世,文化藝術繁榮發展,各類展覽和美術活動十分活躍,但是在成績的背后,我們也看到當下美術創作存在一些問題、一些遺憾。尤其是大家公認的,在反映革命歷史題材的創作中能夠震撼人的、有分量的作品還不夠,這一點藝術家們自身也都意識到了,這并非是因為我們的藝術家不投入、不認真對待,主要的原因還是出于生活的體驗、感受不深,受到了浮躁之風的影響。中國美協有責任為之做出努力,為藝術家提供平臺、創造機會,組織大家走向生活,深入生活,這也是中國美協組織此次采風創作的初衷,希望我們在不久的將來能看到更為感人的藝術作品,迎接當代美術創作的新高潮。
也因此而展開了不少話題,它留給我們今天的采風以及不久后即將展開的創作以怎樣的經驗和啟示?
劉大為:中國美協組織各畫種、各年齡階段的代表性畫家赴紅色寫生之旅,畫家們的思想受到強烈沖擊。踏上延安的土地后,美術家們感慨紛紛。親歷延安才知道,我們從書本里得知的史實遠遠不夠,在這里,有太多的躲在歷史深處的記憶未被喚醒,有太多的藝術題材等待開掘,有太多的被蘊藏的創作激情一觸即發,似乎這里孕育著無盡的力量能隨時牽引著畫筆展開創作。這些感受無一不在印證著藝術家走進生活的必要性。事實上,采風的意義不僅限于創作素材的開發、創作題材的充實,有時甚至能“頓悟”出更為恰當的藝術語言和表現技巧。
